- Monthly meetings by Nils
We decided to start a regular meeting routine again. Together we decided to meet once per month, with additional meetings if required even in small scale groups. As a start we want to meet every firt tuesday per month. Nils will revive Discord for that.
- Open Science Community Utrecht by Nils
There is already an active Open Science Community at the University Utrecht. Nils plans to connect to this group and see what they are doing.
- Founding a non-profit associations by Nils
Currently we do not see the advantage of having an association status. Furthermore the additional bureaucraty is rather a stress factor than anything else. Hence we will skip the foundation to a later stage of the community. Alternative to the association we will be visible as a grassroots-community organized as GbR.
- Bank-account by Nils
We still have running costs to cover. We try to overcome this issue by creating a bank account on a mobile bank. Nils will take care of that. This bank account will serve as a basis to cover current costs.
- Bochum-based Open Source Community by Jan
Jan reported that one of his colleagues is connected to an open source community located in Bochum, they also receive a EU-funding, which might be also interesting for us.
- NOSE Bioprinter by Nils
Our community-developed Bioprinter has been published in the HardwareX journal (see: https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S2468067218300877?via%3Dihub ). We are very proud of this article and plan to continue on the project in time. If you need support contact Nils or Jan.
- Grass-Roots Open Science List by Nils
The center for open science has released a blog-article on how to build an open science community (see: https://cos.io/blog/how-build-open-science-network-your-community/ ). This article also features a list of grassroots community. We will put our name there and maybe reach out for the other groups as well. There is also a Bochum-Open Science Group present already, we should contact them.
